What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to make us stop. Written to be read.

Who we are

Buzz Financial Planning is a trading style of Buzz Money Ltd. For data protection purposes Buzz Money Ltd is the data controller. Contact us at hello@buzzaccounting.co.uk.

What we collect

What you type into a form

Your name, email address, and whatever you write in a message.

What you give us for planning

Income, spending, assets, pensions, property, debts, goals, and details of family members where they affect the plan.

Bank transaction data

Only if you choose to connect an account through the free Healthcheck. That connection is read-only, you authorise it on your own bank's website, we never see your banking credentials, and you can disconnect at any time.

Nothing else

No advertising pixels, no tracking cookies, no profiles built about you.

Why we're allowed to hold it

Where you've asked us to do work for you, we process your information to perform that contract. Where you've signed up for emails or connected a bank account, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Where we keep records to meet legal obligations, we rely on that obligation.

Who we share it with

Nobody, by default. We don't sell data and we don't pass it to product providers. If you ask us to introduce you to Equity & General (FCA 474163) we share only what they need, and you're told before it happens. Our suppliers — the services that host this site, send our email and store our records — are bound to handle your data only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Planning records are kept for six years after our work for you ends. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Bank transaction data is deleted when you disconnect the account or on request.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email hello@buzzaccounting.co.uk and we'll deal with it within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
