The Financial Plan is paid once, at £1,500, and the written plan is yours to keep. Keeping it up to date afterwards is optional, at £49 a month, and you can start that later or leave it.
The plan comes in six parts: where you are now, what you are aiming at, whether it works, what breaks it, the findings, and your next ninety days.
Ongoing planning is £49 a month, which is £588 a year.
Suits you if you are more than ten years from stopping work and your position is stable. Buy a new plan when something changes, such as a sale or an inheritance.
Suits you if you are within ten years of stopping, own a business, or have several changes under way. It adds a check-in every quarter, the projection re-run each year with a review session, and the plan reissued. You can cancel any time.
Yes, for the Financial Plan. You pay once, and the price is the same for a couple and for any size of pension. Ongoing planning at £49 a month is optional. Wills and lasting powers of attorney are done by Buzz Legal and priced separately. If a decision in your plan needs a regulated recommendation and you choose an introduction to Equity & General, E&G pay Buzz a commission if you become their client, and we tell you about it before the introduction.
You keep the written plan, with every assumption printed, and your list of actions for the next ninety days, each with a date. If you later want the plan kept up to date, ongoing planning re-runs the projection each year with your current figures and reissues it. If you would rather come back when something changes, such as an offer for the business, an inheritance or a redundancy, you buy a new plan at the price on the site at that time.
The work is the same shape for every client: the fact find, the modelling, the two thousand runs, the stress tests and the session. Connecting your bank through the free Healthcheck gives us your recorded spending and saves data entry, and that saving is in the price. A larger pension does not take more modelling than a smaller one, so we charge a flat fee. Unbiased gives a typical ongoing adviser fee of at least 1% of the money managed. The Financial Plan gives no product recommendations, so the fee is for the planning alone.
Two to three weeks from start to finish. The Healthcheck takes about two minutes, the conversation about your goals about an hour, and the results session about ninety minutes. We do the modelling in between. The usual hold-up is pension providers, which can take several weeks to send current values, so if you have several old pensions, request statements before you start. You can also start without a bank connection, and we work from figures you give us.
Yes. The free projection gives a rough answer in about two minutes, without tax. For the next twelve months, with ninety-day goals and a coaching session, the Money Road Map from Buzz Money Coach costs £399. It does not model your money to age 100. Buzz Money Coach is run by Buzz Accounting Ltd, the same company as Buzz Financial Planning. On a call we will tell you which suits your position, including when the answer is the Money Road Map.
An hour with a planner on whether the Financial Plan suits your position.
A written plan: every year to age 100 with UK tax applied, each risk measured in years, and your next ninety days.
